All cut pile carpets, whatever their method of manufacture, quality or pile content, may develop light and dark patches caused by uneven crushing of the pile. These may be temporary or permanent. The effect of ‘shading’ is a characteristic of all textile materials with a nap or pile and can be influenced by local conditions. Shading is a natural phenomenon which cannot be attributed to a fault in manufacture or materials and will not affect the durability of the carpet.
Colour Matching
Although every effort is made, we cannot guarantee colour match between 4m and 5m widths nor from batch to batch. Please request stock cuttings if colour matching is critical.
All widths supplied are subject to a tolerance of + 1.25% as specified in British Standard 3655, Clause 3.
It is recommended that all carpet is expertly laid following the code of practice for the installation of textile floorcoverings laid down in BS5325. Expert cleaning recommended.
All wool or wool mix Berber and Heather carpets involve random blends of colours. This blending process combined with the construction of loop pile carpets made from natural fibres, may result in a lined effect not always visible in samples.
Due to method of manufacture we are unable to guarantee a pattern match when joining one or more widths.
