Nine New Additions to Inspirations

Adam Carpets are delighted to announce nine new additions to the ever popular Inspirations range.  These new additions will represent nearly 25% of the total range ensuring that the colours continue to look fresh and modern.

There are three new colours in total across the three designs, Dianthus, Décor and Dot. There are two new Grey tones and one Natural. These tones are very on trend and initial feedback from the stores that have received the samples has been great.

“These colours bring a freshness to the range which our retailers have been calling for” said Eamonn Prescott, Sales Director at Adam Carpets. “As with all our new launches, these colours have been extensively researched and we believe are exactly what todays consumer is looking for.”

The three colours will be:

IC/IP/IS24  Twilight
IC/IP/IS25  Cadet Grey
IC/IP/IS26  Battleship

Flare Sales ‘Off to a Flyer’ say Adam Carpets

Flare sales have exceeded expectation in their first quarter of sales for Adam Carpets to say that it has been the best launch in over seven years.

“We loved the new range as soon as we saw it” said Eamonn Prescott, Sales Director at Adam Carpets, “but we also thought that it could be looked at as a niche product. Therefore we didn’t set it a high budget, however the sales have been so good it had us checking back numbers from previous new ranges and we have to go back to Boulevard, seven years ago to find anything comparable.”

The new range has the obligatory Greys, but Eamonn has been encouraged by the sales from the other colours in the range.

“We knew Green was coming back as a colour and the Fresh Kiwi has sold well in Flare. Limoncello is another that we are constantly remaking. It’s also great to have had some great images from our customers. The response to this range has just been fantastic.”

Adam Carpets and Little Greene Launch New Paint Guide

After a period of fifteen months from when the project was first talked about, Adam Carpets and The Little Greene Paint Company have officially launched their new paint and carpet guide.

The project paused whilst first Adam Carpets (with new Castlemead Twist colours) and the Little Greene (with new New England colours) changed their portfolios. The wait was worth it though and the first guides went into stores in Scotland last week.

“It has been a long wait” said Eamonn Prescott of Adam Carpets. “We showed the prototype at Harrogate in September and it has still taken four more months to get it right. However, that is because both companies are committed to getting the colours right. It is why we approached Little Greene in the first place and why they said yes.”

To mark the launch of our new Flare range, we commissioned a photo shoot. We felt that a turning staircase would provide the perfect location for Flare and so it has proved.

I’m sure you’ll agree that FL08 Jelly Bean looks stunning. Early sales have been extremely encouraging and although Greys/Duck Egg have sold in higher numbers, we have taken sales on all ten colourways within the first two weeks.

Maybe a coincidence, maybe not? It was an interesting Harrogate Show this year and to see two other companies doing mood boards was very flattering. We launched ours two years ago at Harrogate with four boards. We have since created four more, the latest ‘Greenhouse’ is pictured below:

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery as Charles Caleb once quoted.

We also want to applaud Brintons at the show for their wonderful, very English scene made totally from their carpets.

Bravo Brintons!

Is it fair to say though, we may have got there 20 years earlier with our scene of The Needles made entirely from Fine Worcester Twist and Forest Hills which was displayed at Harrogate in 1997!

Don’t be fooled into thinking that Grey is the only story in town. Sure, Grey is the most popular carpet colour at the moment, but we are increasingly seeing more colour being sold in our Castlemead Twist and Fine Worcester collections.

Here is a selection of colours from today alone, that we are making at this very minute:
